The CBK Book Club returns to discuss one of the best DC runs in recent history, DC: The New Frontier! Lance and Jeremy (The Geekly Grind) share their thoughts and takeaways from Darwyn Cooke and Dave Stewart's masterpiece. The New Frontier brilliantly serves as an allegory for social injustice and political change during the 1940s and 1950s in the United States, with an injection of the shifting comic landscape from the Golden to Silver Age.

Welcome to the debut episode of our latest series, the Comic Book Keepers Book Club! At least once a month we will be bringing you an in-depth discussion breaking down comic runs, one-shots or graphic novels ranging from the iconic and beloved to the weird and wacky. Lance and Jeremy (The Geekly Grind) will be spearheading this new endeavor, while Chris will continue to bring the character deep dives. But fear not, Chris and Lance will still be recording together routinely.
This premier episode of the CBK Book Club is all about the BRILLIANT time and reality warped anthology series, Assorted Crisis Events, by Deniz Camp, Eric Zawadzki, Jordie Bellaire, Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou, Tom Muller and Wesley Griffith from Image Comics! Apologies for the error in this episode, we believed Assorted Crisis Events was a limited series, but to our utter joy, it is ongoing! We ADORED this series, I strongly recommend picking up the first trade paperback, available in stores NOW.

The Godzilla Kai-Sei Era has begun!!! Lance and Jeremy discuss the surge in Godzilla content in recent years, leading up to the release of IDW's new trinity of titles from everyone's favorite colossal atomic lizard. We breakdown and review all 3 of Godzilla's latest ongoing comic series (Godzilla, Godzilla: Escape The Deadzone and Starship Godzilla) and discuss why you should add all three to you pull list. This epsiode also includes our interview from San Diego Comic Con with Griffin Sheridan and Ethan S. Parker (co-writers of Godzilla: Escape The Deadzone), Oliver Ono (artist of Starship Godzilla) and Jake Williams (editor of all Godzilla Kai-Sei Era titles). We had a blast chatting with all these talented creators and are thrilled the public can now finally read titles from the latest, and epic, era of Godzilla. Long live Kai-Sei!!!

Another San Diego Comic Con has come and gone, but have no fear! This is just the first of multiple episodes we'll be dropping over the next couple weeks to keep that sweet sweet SDCC dopamine rush coming! We sit down with Robert Kirkman and David Finch to discuss Skinbreaker, their upcoming series from Image and Skybound. In this roundtable we are joined by Hector Navarro (Heroes Reforged) and Jace Milam (The Comic Source), as well as a couple more outlets which I regrettably did not get information from to include them in this section.
